Senior Security & Fire Systems Engineer

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £30,000 - £38,000 per year
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Benefits: Company Pension
Work Location: Deeside, North Wales

We are looking for the right candidate to join our team as a Senior Security & Fire Systems Engineer.

As a Senior Security & Fire Systems Engineer you will have experience of installing and maintaining CCTV, Intruder Alarms, Access Control and Fire Alarm systems. You will be working alongside our experienced Installation, Service & Maintenance Engineers to provide a professional and dependable quality of service to our commercial and residential customers.

Duties include:

  • Installation of new Security systems to meet SSAIB Standards, and Fire systems to meet BAFE standards.
  • Ensure the health, safety & welfare of themselves and their team in accordance with company policy.
  • Carry out servicing & repairs on various security systems covering commercial & residential premises, including tracing & resolution of faults.
  • Assisting customers on security issues, equipment use etc. both face-to-face and over the phone.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork & reports in a timely manner.

 

Experience

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years experience working with:

  • CCTV - Hikvision & Dahua
  • Intruder Alarms - Pyronix, Galaxy, Scantronic, Risco & Texecom
  • Access Control - Paxton Net2 & Switch 2, Intercoms
  • Fire Alarm systems - Apollo, Hochiki, Advanced, Kentec & C-Tec
  • Fire Extinguisher Maintenance

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Good calculation, and literacy skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • A flexible attitude & can-do approach.
  • Confidence, be approachable and conduct themselves in a professional manner.
  • The ability to work well as part of a team but also be confident working independently.
  • Good time management, the ability to manage own workload and work to deadlines.
  • IT/Computing skills/knowledge would be advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to complete installations throughout the UK.
  • Available to be part of an "on-call" rota.

You will need to hold a full UK driving license - a company vehicle will be provided for business use.

Part Time Office Administrator

Job Type: Part-time
Salary: £22,000 - £26,000 per year (pro rata)
Expected Hours: 17.5 per week
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Benefits: Company Pension, Free On-Site Parking
Work Location: In-person at our HQ in Connah's Quay
Education: GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Office Administrator to join our team on a part-time basis.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced, and professional office administrator who has excellent organisational and communication skills along with a detailed understanding of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and outlook). Experience of accounting software such as Xero is preferred but not essential as full training will be given. Previous experience in an administrative or clerical role is preferred.

Duties will include

  • Deal with phone calls to the business & redirecting as appropriate
  • Manage supplier invoices and purchase orders
  • Manage customer invoices and payment process
  • Processing customer and installation paperwork (order forms, contracts)
  • Manage the Customer database and filing systems
  • Assist in the managing of sales team and engineer's diaries
  • Assist the sales team with lead generation
  • Contact customers to make bookings
  • Travel booking for engineers
  • Stock monitoring
  • Vehicle management - booking services etc

Required Skills, Experience and Knowledge

  • Excellent organisational skills - comfortable with managing own workload and time to ensure deadlines are met
  • Good communication skills - both written and verbal communication skills are key, ensuring personable interface with customers
  • Clear and confident telephone manner
  • Good numerical and analytical skills - confident with data input, detail orientated
  • Teamwork - enjoy working within a team and can be flexible to help support others
  • Computer literacy - competent in using MS Office suite. Xero experience preferred
  • A flexible 'can-do' attitude, responsive to changing environments and tasks.
